Position Overview

Freddie Mac Single-Family provides a competitive set of mortgage products to meet the needs of borrowers, technology solutions to increase customers' mortgage volume and enhance the potential of secondary markets, and a robust set of servicing solutions to help keep borrowers in their homes. The Senior Director, Digital will be responsible for the creation and implementation of digital strategies, including web, social, optimization and analytics. The Senior Director will lead an existing team of five as well as build a team to deliver the organization's digital initiatives. The focus of the digital marketing function is to use online channels (e.g. web, social media etc.) to drive awareness and consideration for the Freddie Mac brand among prospects, clients and key influencers. The successful candidate will need to fully embrace content marketing principles, advanced marketing automation and other technologies/platforms and digital/social practices with world class partners.

This role will have primary responsibility for all Freddie Mac Single-Family digital assets as well as end-to-end planning and execution of key projects with 3rd party agencies as well as IT, corporate marketing and business teams.


* Driving a strategy for Singles Family digital marketing

* Build social media presence & strategy

* Leverage analytics and dashboards

* Executing changes to improve usability and engagement with target audience and key influencers.

* Identifying, contracting and managing relationships with 3rd party digital marketing agencies and other vendors.

* Day-to-day management, co-ordination and execution of ongoing projects with agencies and Freddie Mac internal teams.

* Track and manage spend, provide inputs for planning cycle.

* Review and communicate relevant trends and technologies including competitor's developments in the digital area.

* Analyze and capture marketing campaign performance metrics & ROI.

* Engage multiple audiences with content, brand building, thought leadership and financial literacy

* Innovative thinking to provide new ideas as well as the ability to refine and improve existing initiatives

* Targeting and segmentation of audiences. For example:

o Lenders who sell mortgages to the organization

o Real Estate agents, brokers, appraisers who often advocate on behalf of organization to lenders

o Consumers

o Media

o Regulatory/Legislative entities


* Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA/Master's Degree Strongly preferred

* 8+ years of related B2B digital experience in Financial Services or other B2B focused environment preferred
